1963 Gillette Flare Tip Super Speed Razor in excellent condition with 5 Vintage Smith Razor Blades.
Razor is clean and in excellent condition. Mechanics are intact. There is no loss of the nickel
plating. There are no scratches or signs of use. The doors open and close smoothly and precisely.
This is a VERY nice Vintage Gillette Super Speed Flare Tip Safety Razor. It has a date code of
I-2 (1963). Its nickel plating retains a nice mirror like chrome quality. It measures 3 1/4".
This nickel plated 1963 Gillette Super Speed flair tip razor that you are viewing is in excellent
vintage condition. The razor has been completely sanitized, made ready for more decades of the
fantastic shaves that only these vintage razors can deliver. I call this razor excellent. There
is no plate wear or "brassing." This razor is very suited as a collectible, or to put into
shaving service right away.
Many have grown tired of multi-blade cartridge razor gimmicks and inflated pricing for
replacements, and thus are returning to the Gillette heyday of the solid metal, U.S. manufactured
safety razors. Replacement double edged blades are still mass produced under many brand names.
The cost of traditional razor blades is a very small fraction of the price of many popular
cartridge replacements. Also, the quality is often fantastic.
